A historic 18 sq.m. room at Machi’s House in Plaka, known as the place where the statue of Venus de Milo was once hidden.

Venus Room is located within Machi’s House, a historic property in the center of Plaka, the traditional capital of Milos. Measuring 18 sq.m., it is the smallest unit of the property but also the most historically significant.

According to local history, the statue of Venus de Milo was temporarily hidden in this room before leaving the island, giving the space a unique historical connection.

The room features a small double bed, a private bathroom and a refrigerator. There is no kitchen or cooking facility.

Outside the room there is a small courtyard with garden view, offering a quiet place to sit within the traditional setting of the village.

Due to its size, the Venus Room is ideal for one guest. It can accommodate two guests, however visitors should be aware that the space is quite compact.

Machi’s House is located in the center of Plaka, within walking distance of restaurants, tavernas, cafés and bars.
